Andrew Who? What About the Americans?

OK I admit it. I’ve been reading everything about the man who used to be Prince Andrew but is now simply Andrew with two oversized last names. I’m not proud that I’ve spent this much time searching for articles that all say the same thing.

Don’t get me wrong. He’s getting his due, though moving to a hundred-acre estate owned by a king hardly counts as exile. And excuse me, but aren’t we in the science-based blood work moment where we’ve all figured out that their blood is exactly the same as ours. Maybe that’s why they hold on so tightly to the costumes and ceremony. Does anybody else think the outfits they wear at these royal celebrations belong in Halloween, not in politics.

The bottom line is royalty is truly ridiculous. Maybe No Kings Day belongs in England, not in our country where we don’t have a king anyway.

What really makes my eyes roll is that Randy Andy, which remains the most fitting name he’s ever had, seems to be the only one left hanging out to dry.

And we Americans? We can’t look away. We’re obsessed with his fall, while right here at home, the men whose names have already been exposed, men who did exactly what he did, walk around untouched. They shake hands at conferences, appear on magazine covers, and pretend their moral rot isn’t the same as his. Why aren’t we more outraged.

I am terrified by the condition of this country and by how many people are either stupid, racist, or losing their minds from too much McDonald’s. The fact that all three could possibly be true might be the most frightening part of all.

Still, every time we burn it all down, we have the chance to rebuild it better.

It’s not lost on me that Ghislaine Maxwell is the only one actually paying for what was done to those young girls while the powerful men who bought, used, and discarded them remain protected by silence.

So maybe instead of reading about Andrew, we should be seeing microphones shoved in the faces of Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, DT, and every other man whose name has already been made public.

We don’t need the release of the Epstein files to know what’s in them. We already do.

When is the press going to start behaving the way it should be remembered. Here’s a good place to start. Ask them all to comment on Andrew and why they should be held equally accountable?

It’s time to demand accountability and stop letting privilege rewrite justice. Share the names, ask the questions, refuse the silence.
